Team In Training® (TNT) is the world’s largest endurance sports training and fundraising program. Participants raise funds for blood cancer research as well as patient services in exchange for training, fundraising support, and travel accommodations for the event of their choice. Participants range from novices to seasoned athletes who want to get in shape, triumph over a challenge, and meet other motivated individuals. They train in honor or memory of someone they know or in honor of local blood cancer patients, known as honored teammates, who provide motivation and inspiration.
Since TNT’s inception, 400,000 participants have raised over $1 billion. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society dedicates 75 percent of every dollar spent to advance its mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
The New York City Chapter serves all five boroughs of New York City. The chapter provides financial aid to patients with blood cancers and facilitates family support groups. It sponsors First Connection, Advocacy Network and Ambassador Program and offers educational materials free of charge to individuals and health care professionals in hospitals, agencies, and libraries.
