MEET TASHA:
Tasha has a BA in English/Creative Writing and history from Mills College (an all-women's school), a MFA in Screenwriting and has worked in TV and film in LA. She's a freelance screenwriter and fiction writer, and is the Director of Special Programs at Teen Ink.
MEET EMILY:
Emily has a bachelor's in English and 8 years' experience in magazine publishing and is Teen Ink's editor. She likes reading submissions so much she can't believe she gets paid to do it!
MEET KATIE:
Katie graduated from MIT with a degree in Music and Math and is our resident computer genius. Among her many other duties, she is Teen Ink's Art Director and Webmaster.
HOW TO:

Write a story, no more than 1,000 words, that creatively and imaginatively includes each item in the list above. Your story doesn't have to BE about these things, but it must include these things at least once to be considered for the... contest.
For example, if at any one point a character is confused, you can check off "emotion", but your story doesn't have to BE about confusion or someone who is confused. (Although it can be if you want it to be.)
Anything longer than 1,000 words will be automatically disqualified. Do not include your title in the word count.
Send ALL submissions to tasha@teenink.com with the SUBJECT: Facebook Writing Contest_YOUR NAME.
(This is very important that you do this. Your submission will be disqualified if you do not send it properly.)
Your story will be judged for its creativity and the unique way in which the items are used in the context of the story.
