Terence McKenna Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

Terence McKenna “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies." -C.S. Lewis

Terence McKenna "We have been to the moon, we have charted the depths of the ocean and the heart of the atom, but we have a fear of looking inward to ourselves because we sense that is where all the contradictions flow together."

Terence McKenna "We're playing with half a deck as long as we tolerate that the cardinals of government and science should dictate where human curiousity can legitimately send its attention and where it can not...It is essentially a civil rights issue..."

Terence McKenna “The evils of tyranny are rarely seen but by him who resists it.” -John Hay

Terence McKenna “None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” -Johan Wolfgang von Goethe

Terence McKenna “Progress of human civilization in the area of defining human freedom is not made from the top down. No king, no government, no parliament has ever extended to the people more rights than the people insisted upon…It’s time to come out of the closet

Terence McKenna “Does the madman know he is mad? Or are the madmen those who insist on convincing him of his unreason in order to safeguard their own idea of reality?”

Terence McKenna "It behooves every man who values liberty of conscience for himself, to resist invasions of it in the case of others: or their case may, by change of circumstances, become his own." -Thomas Jefferson

I would suggest starting with "Food of the Gods." It is a good jumping off point into many of Terence's theories. Also worthy of mention are "The Archaic Revival," "The Invisible Landscape," and "True Hallucinations."
As far as where you can find these books, I would suggest major booksellers, such as Barnes & Nobles or Amazon.com, or new age bookstores/shops.
