Thanhouser Company Film Preservation, Inc. wonderful show last night in New Rochelle at the Museum of Arts and Culture with Ben Model at the piano. Today, Michele and I are driving around the city to capture photos of landmarks used in Thanhouser films, including the surviving studio building at the corner of Main and Echo. Then, off to New Hampshire to R&R wit...h family for the weekend, and then to St. Louis for the AMIA conference next week.

Celebrities, film crews and entertainment reporters flocked to the city to be part of the arts scene around the Thanhouser Company, a pioneering motion picture studio that made more than 1,000 silent films between 1909 and 1917.
