• OK, so I am consistently inconsistent. I just signed up for Nutshell Mail, through Constant Contact, to remind me to post daily. Let's see if this is a pleasure or a pain! LOL

Two Pleasures to catch up on!!! Tuesday........I stopped at Dunkin Donuts for a "real" hot chocolate......loaded with whipped cream! Since I don't drink coffee (I know....gasp, right?)...this was the perfect treat after spending $500 at Toys R Us in 30 minutes! :) Wednesday, I sat for 30 minutes reading Christmas cards with some cinammon tea! I locked myself in my bedroom and took the time to enjoy each one.....this is what I love about Christmas! Best of all......so far........I haven't received one "brag fest" YET!!!! ha ha.....One's gotta come sooner or later!

          • The 30-Day Pleasure Dare Cheryl, love it! A friend of mine has a Christmas Card award each year... how funny is that? I've been enjoying getting the mail since Thanksgiving. Yesterday, I punched holes in the cards, tied ribbons in them, and decorated the staircase with "smiling families"!

I'm starting the "12 Day's of Christmas" Pleasure Dare 2 days early! The oldest of our eight children, Brittany Elizabeth, got her drivers license today!!!!!! My pleasure simply came from watching her leave our driveway.............driving in my new car.......ALONE..............what was particularly poignant was that she pulled out of the house at the same time the elementary school bus pulled in with our 8 and 10-year old on board! Wow!! Where does the time go??? She came home 10 minutes ahead of curfew with a case of diet coke for me! I cried!!! XXOO Happy Holidays

          • Couch shopping! Since we have 25 people coming for Christmas Eve, we needed better seating, so last night, we went to R&F and had the most pleasant shopping experience. We bought a "Vegas" sleeper sofa, in bright berry red!
          • Pleasure Dare Fan, Cheryl Butler has inspired me to kick off the "12 Days of Christmas Pleasures" a little early. (Think of it like an extended baker's dozen.) Read her article - how are YOU spending your free time?

The beginning of the holiday season has sent this mom on a frenzied search for a gift she thought she “had in the bag” once the new school year began.
            • Hey "Pleasure Dare" Fans: As the crazy holiday season approaches, we are thinking of doing a 3rd challenge, "Holiday Pleasures", perhaps a "12 Days of Christmas edition", to celebrate what brings us joy at the holidays. What do you think, will you join in?

            • I'm ending our second "Pleasure Dare" the way I began it, appreciating the wonderful morning walk I took with Cheryl. We laughed so much today, had a great talk about energy, and shared some fabulous synchronicities that have flowed into our experience. This has been a pleasure-filled 30 days and it doesn't have to end here. Do one thing a day, thats it! Fill your cup so that you really have something to give. The world needs our feminine power and light today, so this truly is our time to shine!

I couldn't agree more, Amy! Our morning walks are very sacred at this point! :) Laughter is always the best healing energy as well as great for burning calories!!!! And now that I've been doing the Pleasure Dare since April.........I ...cannot share enough with all my gal pals that it is absolutely necessary and highly joyful to take a break each and every day to notice one pleasure, big or small, that just makes you smile "just because"!!! It's addicting and is now a way of life! Pay it forward, ladies........pay it forward! :)See More

            • My pleasure today was celebrating my friend Emily's 86th birthday! First, I took her to get her hair done, then we went back to her house and had a tea party. I bought my china teaset and a few treats, and we had a delightful afternoon. I could have a tea party EVERY day!

                • The 30-Day Pleasure Dare You have the most beautiful china tea set. (I'd venture a guess that yours gets more use than most pretty china tea sets.) Happy birthday to Emily!

            • We're down to the last couple of days of the 2nd 30 Day Pleasure Dare. If you haven't posted online, many people told me they were 'keeping their lists" at home. **What have you learned about what brings you pleasure, or your ability to let pleasure into your life?**

                • The 30-Day Pleasure Dare Yesterday, my son ran up the hill from our neighbors' house, burst into the kitchen calling my name, ran up the stairs, and handed me the most beautiful purple hydrangea and kissed me on the cheek. It was the sweetest pleasure I've known. Sigh. I love little boys. :)

            • My pleasure today was receiving fresh vegetables from a friend, which came from her community garden. The colors were so vibrant and they were just picked last night.... I can't think of what is more more delicious than freshly picked tomatoes... or stringbeans.... or potatoes... or squash... YUM... I'm feeling very grateful and excited for dinner!
