In August, Mike Collins suffered a fracture to his hip, caused by a tumor that turned out to be renal carcinoma cancer. After that, Mike experienced a number of serious complications, including pneumonia, a stroke, internal bleeding, skin rashes, a bowel obstruction and a blood clot.
Mike passed away on Saturday, Octob...er 17th, 2009. He used approximately 30 units of blood and 6 units of platelets during his battle with cancer.
