You raise a great point that having documents on hand to react quickly to opportunities is one way to seperate yourself from the pack of applicants. Darien, like many departments. require a number of documents with their application. It is a good idea to put together a "personal application kit" with copies of all the documents you might need to respond to short notice of opportunities.

Form 1 - Authorization Form
Form 2 - Authorization to Release Information & Waiver
Form 3 - Agreement to abide by Rules and Regulations of Board Form
Form 4 - Physician's Consent form - POWER Test
Form 5 - Preferred Solutions Background Inquiry Form
Form 6 - Check List Form

These are the additional documents they require you to provide:

Copy of Birth Certificate
Copy of Driver's License
Recent Photograph of Applicant, Print Name on Back
Copy of High School Diploma or Official G.E.D. Certificate (Not test results)
Copy of verification of registration with the Selective Service
Copy of Military Discharge Papers, if applicable
