The Book & The Spade The latest program, #1201 with Professors Aling and Billington, is a very important program, discussing the mention of the name Yahweh in Egyptian hieroglyphics BEFORE the time the Merneptah stele inscription mentions Israel. Most Bible scholars are unaware of these mentions.

The Book & The Spade This week's program is #1200, a significant milestone. Professor Schoville and I discuss Israel's archaeological riches, some of which are on display at a multitude of museums, and some of which are hidden in private collections, which may soon may be slightly less private.

The Book & The Spade I just finished a half hour interview with Matthew Kalman, the only reporter who's been in the Jerusalem courtroom for the whole trial (so far- four years) of the James Ossuary. I enjoyed his inside perspective. This interview will be featured on the next two episodes of The Book & The page, the first of which will be posted Tuesday evening.
