The Channels' ed board and advisers traveled to Austin, Texas for the Associated Collegiate Press journalism conference to receive awards for last year's achievements and attend workshops. More than 2200 journalism college students and advisers from different parts of the nation attended the conference.

The Channels won... four national awards:
ACP Newspaper Pacemaker
ACP Online Pacemaker
ACP Best of Show for the current staff's Oct. 21 issue printed paper
