The Choral Arts Society of Washington "Spem in alium" was first performed at the 40th birthday of Queen Elizabeth I in 1573. Help Choral Arts kick off their 45th birthday by hearing the same piece performed at our season opener, THE ORIGINAL SURROUND SOUND!

This one-hour, interactive student concert features traditional folk songs from Latin America and focuses on the rhythm patterns found throughout Latin American music. Students will learn rhythms and perform along with on-stage musicians during this special event to close Hispanic Heritage Month.
