Phil Matthews

Phil Matthews Love Letters by Ketty Lester was also covered by Frankie Miller & I know of at least 24 different cover versions of Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin, 22 0f the are on the album The Money Or The Gun (Stairways To Heaven)..................

Greg

Greg "Secret Garden" never covered Josh Grobans "You Raise Me Up". The original was Daniel O'Donnell. Also, you can't find Michael Buble through search, spelling it both "Buble" and "Bublé".

Adam Lawrence

Adam Lawrence Covers Project - Quick comment - Oasis did not cover Maroon 5's Dont Look Back in Anger. This is the wrong way round!

Amanda Bates

Amanda Bates What happens about traditional songs? There are several - many - that can be traced through many and varied incarnations in several genres.

Norbert Bognár

Norbert Bognár Is there a way to add cover songs which were only played live at a concert?

Mandy Burns
Eric Colvin

Eric Colvin Please explain to me how to add info to The Covers Project. Despite my signing up, the database simply doesn't allow me to input new songs - only to search it. If it is not possible to add new songs via the website, then please say now.

Yes, it should allow new songs to be added, provided we can find their info somewhere (in this case, the MusicBrainz website) to verify the submission.

When you go to the add page, and search for a song, pick the one that matches what you're trying to add as the original and then click the "Pick this song" link next to it. Then you will be able to type in the name of the artist who recorded the cover.

Good catch, we've removed the No Doubt version. Hopefully the MusicBrainz integration will keep that one from sneaking back in.

cool! I re-read my post and didn't mean to sound harsh haha, I'm in a professional No Doubt Tribute group and was looking for some things to add to the set list (i.e. covers that No Doubt did) and came across this. thats a great idea on the site btw, I've informed the rest of the band and hopefully it will be spread throughout the music community here in Pittsburgh!
