stupidist thing I ever read- hold a non existant landlord responsible for the daily behavior of a tennant! How about we CATCH and hold the perp accountable, and actually provide uncomfortable consequenses for their actions. While we are at if, if they are underage lets get the parents too! I can agree that there is more crime in harford square ... See Moreand there are alot of renters, but there was alot of crime there when the homeowners lived there too. I have a patient that was attacked by a large group of thugs there in the early 80's and nearly died. RENT has nothing to do with murder, poverty, lack of education, poor parenting, and poor morals does!

there is something to this....Lived in Baltimore for a few years and had a neighbor selling drugs out of the house...breaking into cars, robbing ect. Police could do little...they would arrest them and judge would let them off. Fianlly got my local delegate down there to go through the abatement (sp) process....They ended up seizing the house. As a landlord you are responsible for what goes on in the house...they can take the house away.
