The Detroit Handbell Ensemble All auditionees will ring as a group, sight reading a variety of repertoire at several different ringing positions.

The individual audition will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes and will consist of the following:
- Short written test to measure recognition and knowledge of handbell terminology and notation
- Brief interview
- Sight "ringing"
- Skills demonstration, including clapping different rhythms and meters; weaving; multiple tr...eble bells techniques (if applicable); and bass bell ringing (if applicable)

The Detroit Handbell Ensemble Ringers are not judged during this evening of ringing. This is purely a time to break the ice, meet each other, have some fun ringing and for those who perhaps have not been ringing over the summer, an opportunity to get back into the swing (ring?) of things!
