Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, DZF spent the weekend delivering new ceramics kilns to Prairie High School, and to the Oregon College of Art & Craft's children's program, Art Adventures! Thanks to everyone for making it happen. http://www.ocac.edu/#/community-programs /youth-programs/

The Dreaming Zebra Foundation It's been a busy week! Art supplies delivered to Title One schools in Georgia, Buffalo, Columbus, Texas, and Portland. On top of it all, the wonderful teachers at Harvey Scott Elementary taught us to say Dreaming Zebra in Spanish - so"La Cebra Sonodora" hopes the students enjoy their new supplies! Cheers to more art in our schools - thanks to generous members of the community working hand in hand.

Victoria Gaither Great interview today with Richard, a volunteer from the Foundation. I love you guys and will do what I can help on 'At Home w/Victoria'. Thanks Dawn

OK, listen up (or read up)!!! We are going to try to earn $1000 for the
Dreaming Zebra Foundation and it will only cost you $10. We will need
about 120 of you 179 fans to do it. We have to be united and coordinate
our times. There is a site called America's Giving Challenge where we
are registered. If we can all donate bet...ween the hours of 3pm to 3pm
EASTERN time (that's 6pm to 6pm out WEST) we will be able to earn DZF
$1000 dollars. $10 is like two lattes, we can do this. Let's set it for
THIS WEDNESDAY, 10/14/09. If you want a reminder let me know. We can do
this, but it has to be together. If you know of others that would
donate to our cause hit them up.Read More

DZF had a great time today delivering guitars & art supplies to the Rosemont - DARTS School, which serves female
adolescents from the ages of 12-18 who are under the care of DHS. 57% percent of the
students have been certified as handicapped; the
predominant handicapping conditions are learning, commun...ication
and emotional disabilities. The students at Rosemont love art & music and we hope they'll have as much fun using the supplies as we had delivering them! http://www.dart.pps.k12.or.us/.docs/pg/1 0602Read More

Hi Dawne, I soon I will be ready to put a link banner in the sidebar on my new site, partypapergoods.net for DZ. I am trying to focus the site on eco-friendly parties and ways for kids to learn about recycling. I'm also including ideas for craft projects using recycled products. Let me know what you think of my idea.... I think that I am going to do a post on the foundation in there if you think it is alright. LynnRead More

On September 19th, Abled Hawai’I Artists (AHA)- big Island, sponsored “@ART 4 @LL”, at the 3rd Annual World Peace Day at Honoka’a Town, Hawai’i.
With donated supplies from The Dreaming Zebra Foundation (http://www.dreamingzebra.org), over 100 kids (young and young at heat!) celebrated a day of peace through chalk art..., face and finger painting. It was so beautiful to see kids light up and empowered to freely express their artistic creativity on the street, and on themselves!
Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) Dawne and The Dreaming Zebra Foundation for supporting AHA-Big Island over the last two years in providing community inclusion for artists with disabilities!
Aloha goes out to the people of Honoka’a Town for hosting this international event, and especially to the Peace Day Parade Committee (www.peacedayparade.org) for putting on this event and the parade the following day.
My personal MVP person in this event is my friend Jeani “rub da lamp” Navarro of the Arc of Kona, who did an amazing job with funding and pulling it all together!
Join us for the 4th Annual World Peace Day SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2010!http://www.cds.hawaii.edu/aha/Read More
