Hey Mallory,

If you want to find out more about the Washington Mentorship program, you can email mentorship@american.edu or call the program coordinator April Wilson (202) 895-4936.

The Web site for the program is http://admissions.american.edu/public/contentPage/contentPage.asp?navID=12&parId=3020&docID=2905

I know several people who have really enjoyed the program. It's a unique opportunity, and I know a lot of people get really close to the other people in the program.

I'm also going to message you this information.

Hope that helps!

Yours,
Kristen

(I work in the New Student Programs office, btw)

First Lady of Tanzania, Her Excellency Mama Salma Kikwete, created the WAMA Foundation (http://www.wamafoundation.or.tz/about_wdf.html) to focus on development by improving women's social and economic status through re-defining gender roles and creating more opportunities for the empowerment of women and the growth and protection of children, especially the girl-child. Mama Salma Kikwete's vision is to see the nation develop, where communities and families thrive in better conditions, and women and children's needs receive priority.

Hey Eagle, I am a possible incoming freshmen at AU, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Washington Mentorship Program?? If so, please let me know, cause I have no idea what it is, but I was offered a spot in it.
Thanks.
