Great article, Rx for The Grinchies and Gimmies. I love this magazine and I'm proud to be quoted in it. The Enchanted Self I was the presenter last night at the Powerful YOU! meeting in Lakewood. My talk was, 'YES YOU CAN!, Everyone has a story to tell and probably a book!' All brainstormed and it was amazing the stories and books that are waiting to be written by these women. They are indeed powerful!
The Enchanted Self Had a celebration party for the Chinese edition of my book with some very close friends. The Chinese version of The Truth is published by XI' An Jiaotong University Press. We had such fun looking at the book and all the illustrations inside. I also read an excerpt to everyone. Lots of good food and excitement.
The Enchanted Self Finally, six copies of the Chinese version of The Truth (I'm a girl...) arrived from China yesterday. The book is beautiful. I love seeing The Truth in two languages side by side and each so different! And the adorable illustrations just make the book so appealing. I'm blessed! I must celebrate.
The Enchanted Self The Girl Scouts have given me so much. Even feedback on what should happen to the girl in the next book. Also whether she should ever have a name. I think the girls are on the right track. They suggested that the reader name the girl and there be a space for her to do that in the book! Great idea.
The Enchanted Self At the Girl Scout meeting in Ocean Township last Wednesday night, the girls and their mom's really enjoyed dividing up into groups and discussing different topics generated by The Truth (I'm a girl, I'm smart and I know everything). I think they most enjoyed issues around moving and also family relationships.
The Enchanted Self I love going to Girl Scout Troops and talking about The Truth (I'm a girl, I'm smart and I know everything). The girls seem to enjoy asking me questions about why I wrote the book and how I chose what should happen to the girl.
The Enchanted Self I wish my copies of the Chinese version of The Truth (I'm a girl....) would arrive in my mailbox. I want to celebrate and have a Chinese Party. They were sent by boat.
The Enchanted Self Just got back from talking about The Truth (I'm a girl, I'm smart...) with Girl Scouts from five troops in the Ocean area. We had great fun. They wanted to know what will happen to the the girl in the second book in the series. Interested in whether she will ever see Paul again and if the girl's parents divorce.
The Enchanted Self I'm excited to tell you that The Truth is now an Amazon Best Seller in three categories: Being a Teen, Children's Books 9-12 and Children's Literature. Finishing the second book in The Truth series. I've made myself a deadline, by the end of September.
