The Euro Challenge is an exciting educational opportunity for US high school students (9th and 10th grades) to learn about the European Union (EU) and the euro. Student teams are asked to make presentations answering specific questions about the European economy and the European single currency, the euro.

The Special Seminar for High School Students is presented by the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh in cooperation with North Allegheny School District.

The Seminar for Students will include:

-student presentations of the main topics that were discussed at the school's recent G-20 Student Summit, such as economic recove...ry, energy and the environment

-a presentation by Nigel Nagarajan, Counselor and Head of Economic and Financial Affairs at the Delegation of the European Commission to the United States, which will be followed by time for Q&As that you may have

There is no charge for this special seminar and we are sure that it will provide you with many ideas in preparation for the competition. Please register online at www.worldaffairspittsburgh.org, or call the Council at 412-281-7970 by October 13.
