Zaytinya for tapas.. it's not spanish, it's more a mix of things, mostly greek but damned good. This city is not so good for bagels and lox.. best bet is to get them at separate places, like lox at Whole foods and bagels at a local bakery and then go from there. Etete and Meaza are much better for Ethiopian than Zed's, which is oftentimes not very flavorful, to be honest.

@ Sridhar: technically, you're right, it's Queen's Cross Road. Cantt Stn to Indian Express Building. However, all us old Bangaloreans call it Queens Road - the road near the cricket stadium (the actual Queens rd) is known as "stadium road'.

The FTB Blog Inspired 5 min raita recipe: - One cup of shelled walnuts. Boil for 2 min. Cool for 1 min. Chop fine (10 sec). - Dry-roast one tbsp of whole jeera (cumin) until fragrant (45 sec). Grind in mortar with pestle (5 sec). - Using a fork, beat one tsp of sugar, one tsp of salt, and the bashed up jeera into a bowl of thick yoghurt (30 sec) - Top with a sprinkling of freshly chopped mint leaves (30 sec).
