- What is Progress? Are our lives getting better? Does having more money make us happy? Where do things like the environment and wellbeing fit into this assessment?
These are just some of the fundamental questions that the Global Project on "Measuring the Progress of Societies" seeks to answer. Our project exists because we believe that if we can better measure progress we will better understand it and in better understanding progress we can foster and increase it.

- The Global Project is not just about holding discussions on the meaning of progress, we are taking action.
Some of our activities include:
- running Training Courses to help individuals and organisations learn about progress
- developing ICT tools to better understand and disseminate the statistics of progress
- fostering the development of sets of key economic, social and environmental indicators
- creating a Knowledge Base, a unified online collection, of all papers and research on measuring progress - available to everyone.
