The Heroes are an Indie/Punk band formed in Leicester during April 07 with influences ranging from The Libertines, The Jam and The Clash. The band comprises of Alex Totman (Vocals/Guitar), Alex 'Rooster' Van Roose (Guitar/Vocals), Ali Lee (Bass/Vocals) and Liam Atkins (Drums). Since 2008 The Heroes have staged some of the most exciting and energetic local gigs in Leicester that have created a huge buzz in the city. The Heroes have created the clubnight 'OVERDRIVE' which has proven to be one of the biggest clubnights the midlands have to offer - consistently selling out venues such as the Charlotte, De Monfort University and more recently the Y Theatre. With a selection of larger gigs across the country in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Camden and London; and since opening the Mainstage of the Summer Sundae Weekender - The 19 year olds are well on their way to becoming a band with national recognition. Having played on the line up for the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 09 and being recently crowned winners of OBS 2009, they are very much the band to look out for in the not so distant future.
