The High School Football Huddle A couple of weeks ago, a Nebraska running back topped the 400-yard mark in a game. It got us thinking about the all-time best single-game performances by high school running backs. The numbers are astounding! Check-out the story about a New Jersey running back, who in 1950 rushed for 754 yards in one game!! BTW...during an 8-game season, he also averaged 594.5 yards per contest.

The High School Football Huddle Valdosta, Georgia takes high school football seriously! However, things have been a little tough lately for the Wildcats program, which is the winningest football program in America. Earlier this week, the school told its current head coach Rick Tomberlin he will not be coming back next year. So for the fourth time since 2002, Valdosta is looking for the right man to step into the southern Georgia pressure cooker.
