“Mountain Swamp Kennels”, an alleged dogfighting operation in Blue Ridge, GA was busted last week by authorities. Information regarding the kennel came via The HSUS dogfighting tip line, 877-TIP-HSUS.

Pigeon shoots made a début in the 1990 Olympic games as a demonstration event, but after public outcry, were banned from the Olympics. Despite this decision, some say pigeon shooting really is a sport.

Every year, thousands of innocent baby seals are slaughtered on Canadian ice for their fur. Year after year the HSUS & HSI fight relentlessly to end this bloody massacre. Although the seal hunt has continued despite our efforts, we now have new hope that the end is near.

Backyard breeders have figured out that they can use Facebook to sell their dogs faster than ever. Unlike CraigsList, Facebook has not prohibited the sale of animals on their site.

This has really gotten out of hand. These animals being sold on facebook are from backyard breeders, puppymills, and even stolen pets being resold!
