Vivir aca y encontrar en la libreria un libro donde hablaba de uruguay me hizo comprarlo y apenas lo... empeze no pude parar de leerlo hasta el final! Angela Errico Hi Carolina,
After meeting you on the plan ride to NJ in November I couldn't wait to get this bok! So when I received a Nook for Christmas, The Invisible Mountain was the first book I bought. I finally finished it last night (school has a way of interfering and delaying my hobbies) and I absolutely loved it.

Thank you for the book and for being such an inspiration! I am still working on my book :)

Copies of the Chinese edition have just arrived. How incredible to page through (right to left!) and think the gorgeous, intricate, vertical lines of symbols somehow hold the stories of Pajarita, Eva, and Salomé.

The world of words has infinite possibilities.

‎@ Ben: hello again - I wouldn't say The Invisible Mountain has a Jewish angle, as far as its main themes and protagonists. However, there is a quite important character, Leona, who comes from a Jewish immigrant family that was escaping Rus...sian pogroms, and this is part of her impetus to become involved with the revolutionary Tupamaros in 1960s Uruguay. And so the Jewish community of Uruguay does have a presence in the book, through her, and her sister...See More
