Linnea Hannigan Iordanopoulos Please explain how to do the "avoidance of witholding tax". For example, if you are married with 2 kids, and you claim 4 on your witholding, do you increase that number to what? If you claim 6, what do you do? Increase? Decrease? In order for this to work, it has to be explained better.

A proposed pension reform initiative, the Public Employees Benefits Reform Act (PEBRA), should die an early death and never see the ballot box. PEBRA gives state workers pension guarantees superior to private sector workers. It does nothing to fix the current pension mess. PEBRA does little to reform the generous “3 at... 50″ retirement benefit that is bankrupting the state. It leaves the door open for taxpayers to pay state worker health and pensions costs in full. PEBRA isn’t the reform California needs – eliminating pension guarantees completely.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. This week’s elections show the power of that cliche, with notable GOP victories despite the utter cluelessness of GOP leadership, who have learned nothing from their wins (encouraging Democrats onward in their central planning blitzkrieg). The failed GOP establishment is again... casting aside principles for symbolism in backing Carly Fiorina for Senate.
