Andy Hall was born in Los Angeles, but lived in San Diego, Enid Oklahoma, and upstate New York before moving to Las Vegas. He has earned an M.A. in English and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing while also becoming involved in poetry slams. He was on the Flagstaff, AZ poetry slam team in 2002 and also the Las Vegas Slam t...eam in 2003, and continues to pursue more academic accolades as every minute passes.

The Las Vegas Poets Organization
The 2010 Nevada Poetry Out Loud Recitation Contest is accepting high school entries for district-wide competitions.
The
aim is for students to learn about poetry through memorization,
performance and competition. Schools participate in district-wide
contests to advance to the state competition on March 13, 2010 in Reno.
The... State champion will advance to National Finals, which will take
place in from April 25-27 in Washington, D.C.
To obtain
a teacher's tool kit, register or learn more about the district
contests, contact Mary Jane Dorofachuk, art education coordinator for
the Nevada Arts Council, at 486-3738 or email mdorofachuk@nevadaculture.org.
