all you would really need for an army is the Four Swords Links since they would NEVER kill each other, right?

The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy I'm glad you love the game, Grant, but it sounds like you need some new friends. Couldn't you just hide the book from them?:)

The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy
Adrian, there is absolutely more to the book (and I'm not just saying that because I'm the editor).

What you read from amazon is an excerpt of the first chapter: there are 20 chapters written by different authors (see table of contents below). The rest of the book deals with multiple games of the franchise, from Adventu...re of Link to Ocarina to Twilight Princess.

It's true that sometimes the same game is mentioned more than once. This is because the game is approached from multiple angles philosophically. For example, Chapter 12 talks about A Link to the Past in terms of its status as art, whereas Chapter 19 talks about A Link to the Past in terms of its representation of the princess Zelda herself.

The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy Jeromy, you still had the parry mastered before you fought Ganondorf right? The author of that first chapter is implying that the parry attack has to be mastered BY THE TIME you reach the end; you could have mastered it at any point along the way.

Try reading further in that chapter, I think you'll find that it goes beyond any ideas about the easiness or hardness of Ganondorf.
