Company Overview:
The Library Corporation, with offices in Inwood, W.Va., Denver, and Singapore, was founded in 1974 to provide automation solutions to libraries. While the library automation market has seen many vendors reorganize or be consumed, TLC is still owned by the same family who founded it. In other words, TLC is here today ... and tomorrow.
Mission:
We support our automation solutions with an outstanding and unexpected level of service. Over 5,000 libraries worldwide have chosen TLC's automation products, which include integrated systems and add-on solutions that can be used with any integrated system.
Products:
Library•Solution:
TLC’s turnkey, integrated automation software for libraries features a powerful Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) with the familiarity of Windows and Web interfaces, so patrons have no learning curve to delay their use of this innovative Integrated Library System (ILS). http://www.tlcdelivers.com/tlc/what-we-do/library-automation.asp

CARL•X:
A next-generation ILS designed for -- and by -- medium to large public libraries and library systems. CARL•X uses established, thoughtfully created design and development principles to showcase libraries’ individual strengths while freeing staff from having to perform routine functions. The UNIX and SQL/Oracle-based, open-system automation solution uses Web and Windows client software to offer an array of services and features.
