It’s the last day of November. Can you believe it? Sometimes I look back on the year and think it flew by. Other times, I think of certain events and it feels like they happened ages ago. Still, it’s definitely feeling like winter to me. It’s 52 degrees outside. The ...

Kea I just finish the Marked Series and I LOVED it. I was a little frustrated about the ending. I hate cliffhanger ending. I hope you continue with the series and have a happy ending. :o)

The MARKED Series
I’m writing this post from Nashville, where I’ve been since I left home in the wee hours of the morning on Friday. I’m here for the RWA Board of Directors’ meeting. Tomorrow will be Day 3 and another 10 hour day. Yes, I’m a bit tired, but it’s been a great trip in a lot of ways. There is s...

There’s candy all over my house. In bowls and bags, in the fridge and freezer, upstairs and downstairs. My kids carried their separate candy stashes around with them all day on Sunday, from room to room, inside and outside. I’m not sure why they do that. Th...
The MARKED Series
So it’s nearly 1:30 AM on Monday and I’m coming off a 48-hour writing binge. I didn’t quite reach my goal, but I’m still happy with what I got done. I have a few more pages left to polish, but I edited most of the day today (Sunday) and I’m really happy with it. It’s solid work. I have to ...

It’s been almost one year (short by just ONE day) since I posted my first blog here on MSW. Where has the year gone? An ENTIRE year? Despite my shock at the passing of time, it certainly feels like October today. ...

I’m superstitious. I’m not picky about where I get my superstitions; I mix and match them. I knock on wood, toss salt over my shoulder, rub Buddha’s belly, and utilize Feng Shui design in my office. I have lucky numbers, and have been known to wear stones for their reputed properties. I do...

Presently, many of my writer friends are in a state of flux. All of them have been at this professional author gig for a while. Most of them have over a dozen books behind them. Some have many more than that. Others are pretty darn close...

Yesterday, I was thinking about today being my blog day. Actually, it's been on my mind since Friday. Karin also reminded me about the blog just before midnight. And still, when I went to bed at 3 AM PST, I'd completely forgotten about it. So sorry about that. I hate being a flake...

I'm pretty consistent in that once I start a project I'm completely absorbed until life grabs my attention hard. I'm a born procrastinator, but I've learned that what I don't want to do isn't half as bad as I thought once I start and finish. Also, having something in the day, or week, that you look forward to can really help push you through rough spots.

I’m presently coming off back-to-back two weeks of cons — RWA Nationals and Comic-Con. To say I’m wiped out would be an understatement. However, it was all lots of fun. RWA with friends and CC with my family (though both definitely qualified as work). But…...
