The Magnificent Session
So you haven’t been down to The Magnificent Session yet? Well, it’s a mixture of music and comedy and then more music. To start the evening we have trad music/bluegrass uniquely performed by Carmen & The Little Wolves. Singer and fiddler Carmen Phelan may be set to release her debut album but she's no stranger to pl...aying big stages. She's played many of the large UK venues and festivals, touring with numerous well-known musicians. Living between Ireland, America and the UK, Carmen Phelan and band play seriously upbeat, Melodic Indie Folk. With Fiddle, Dobro, Banjos and a wall of harmony vocals they have been making a big impression on the London scene. They are poised to take their blend of impressive instrumental playing and well considered songs to a much wider audience. If you’re down by 7pm, you’re in for quite a treat!
Just for laughs, we have Belfast born Ryan McDonnell who will be our MC for the evening. Ryan is building quite the reputation for himself on the UK comedy circuit. He was a runner up in the 2009 Amused Moose Laugh Off final in Edinburgh.
The Magnificent Session is delighted to welcome back Abandoman, a hip hop comedy improv act that will blow your mind! They have enjoyed huge success this year winning Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2010 and the Musical Comedy Awards 2010.
They have already supported Tommy Tiernan, US hip hop band, Atmosphere, and played festivals such as Bestival. In January 2010, Rob and James began a weekly residency with BBC6, providing comedic songs to the Chris Hawkins Breakfast Show.
All this as you nibble on a ham sandwich and a cheese and onion Tayto. Hold on to your raffle ticket, you’d never know what you might win!

The Magnificent Session This Sunday we'll have the cream of comedy giving their last shows before they head off to Edinburgh. Carmen Phelan, the exotic fiddler will be belting out the tunes along with an array of other colourful musicians. Come down, what else would you be doing!

The Magnificent Session will run as part of the Boogaloo Sunday Clubs over the summer months with plenty to keep you amused throughout the day. It’s a mini festival of sorts and what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with your favourite tipple in one hand and a hot Mexican (treat)... in the other!!
The beer garden will be host to various attractions including:
'Love vintage": They have dresses, blouses and accessories galore - all ranging from the 50's to the 90's - much better the second time around!
“Offbeat Clothing”: an eclectic mix of vintage treasures including recycled branded denim, vintage dresses, printed tee’s, Hawaiian shirts, leather jackets, tootal scarves, chain bag’s and much more.
The Snack queen will be serving Mexican treats throughout the day, including organic Mexican style salsa dips, tortilla crisps and salsa, cheese quesadillas, "Mexican pizza". Yum!
All from 3pm.
Meanwhile
The Magnificent Session will kick off inside at 18.00pm.

She is joined by the fresh faced Max Dickins and Joel Dommett. An eclectic mix to say the least, it promises to be a magnificent show!
All this as you nibble a ham sandwich and cross you fingers and toes in hope of a win at the raffle. You’d want to be mad to miss it!
