Very great Christmas! My father-in-law hugged me tight and told me I am a great daughter-in-law, brought tears to my eyes! Family with love and openness to be yourself is a great gift!

Ann Gill

Ann Gill This last weekend we took a trip to Idaho to visit with our family; two daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren. It was supposed to be the wedding of our second daughter, but that was cancelled. While we were there that daughter gave me a copy of The Misunderstood God. I started reading it on the plane trip home. The ...first chapter described her fiance, who broke off the engagement and wedding due to unreconcilable religious differences. But a funny thing happened over the weekend.

He started to have his eyes opened. He told us on Sunday night that he made the decision to leave the organization he was apart of, leave the Bible School and pursue a relationship with a God who loves him. He wants to start over in his relationship with our daughter and include other brothers and sisters in the process. He realized that he had ... See Morebeen trying to fit her into a mold that wasn't even working for him. Wow! And he hasn't even read the book. Papa is so wonderful to open his eyes. It's going to be so much fun to watch his journey expand in learning to live loved. Thanks for this book. It hits the nail on the head in so many areas.

I'm really fed up. The main bookseller in Australia (www.koorong.com.au) has a wait time of 13-15 weeks before they get a shipment! I just left them a terse message to get their act together. Even ordering from Amazon takes 4 weeks by their normal post so how come over 3 times the wait?

Okay, I've calmed down now ... perhaps I should get that ... See MoreRick Warren book instead ... or they have a special on Joyce Meyer or maybe I could go for one of those cool apostle guys who will tell me what to do. So many choices.

I read "Conrade Yap's" review... LOL! talk about not being able to see God's forest for all the theological trees... I was also "theologically trained" and am at a place where I believe it's been far more of a hinderance to my "relationships" than a help. I've been on a 7 year detox from so much that I learned. The grace walk has been far more ... ... See MoreSee Moredifficult for me than ... See Moremy wife who has little theological training at all. Knowledge and truth were meant to be "revealed" in the context of relationships when that doesn't happen then you wind up with mental assent and an form of christianity with very little power, life and love. I will comment more when I finish the rest of the book but so far it's been refreshing.
