The Aims of this course
The Qirat course is designed to teach learners the art of reciting the Holy Qur’an in a beautiful and melodious voice with Tajweed. The course is designed in such a way that it accommodates learners who are beginners, intermediate and advanced. ...The course will be taught with Tajweed by a qualified Qari. The Qirat style will be according to Hafs. Learners wishing to learn hadar or tartil will have to discuss this with the Sheikh.
Objective of this course
It is authentically established that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged his followers to recite the Qur’an in a beautiful voice and the Qur’anic precept stipulates the recitation of the Qur’an with Tajweed. This course combines the two teachings into a single module. This course will equip learners not only with the correct skills of reciting the Qur’an but also help them fulfil an aspect of their religion. By the end of the course learners should be able to read any part of the Qur’an with Tajweed..
Course Cost and Payment
The course will cost £1.17 per hour. The full cost of the course is £80.00. This includes learning materials. The fees are due at registration and is non-refundable. All cheques should be payable to ‘The Muath Trust’.
Course Timetable and Holiday
This course will be taught over 34 weeks with a total of 68 hours of teaching and learning. The classes will be held once a week, each session lasting for 2 hours. The classes will run on a Mondays from 10 am – 12 pm for the morning session and 6 pm – 8pm for the evening session. The holidays will be as follows:-

Course Materials
The Juz ‘Amma (30th Chapter) will be the fixed text for this course. There will be no fixed text for the Tajweed component of this course. All notes will be handouts.
