International Opera Theater is looking for an outstanding professional gospel choir, as well as 4 outstanding African American singers for a 2011 world premiere opera-1 female like a young Grace Bumbry and 3 males. All singers must be able to move well on stage, be spontaneous and also sing opera, as well as spirituals..., sincerely and naturally. The "Negro Spiritual" Scholarship Foundation Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and Mad Cow Theatre are holding auditions for a concert stage version of Porgy & Bess. All roles, including principals and chorus are open, except the following: Porgy, Bess, Crown, Serena. Auditions will be held Nov 6-8 and callbacks Nov. 20-22.
