Politico is a very innovative site, and well-reported if your interest is focused on insider-Washington political goings-on as opposed to substance. Their new piece today by Lisa Lerer and Chris Frates is a good example.

Dan, in all my years of watching politics, I have never seen anything like the level of absurdity we have seen since the 2006 midterms.

Remember the "Free health Care" euphoria? It is gone. No matter what happens now, health care reform has become a sick joke, and surprisingly, Joe Six Pack, the same guy who voted for hopenchange, is experiencing buyers remorse.

a 15-17 seat majority in the House grinds the whole thing to a halt. How? Using budget tactics. Use the same tactics in reverse that got us here. Anyone campaigning for 2010 who runs against Obama will win. Have the judiciary committee question the constitutionality of the obamareidhopenchangepelosicare, while Republican governors sue in Federal Court. An assault on the Bill from all over would seal its fate.... See More

The trick, of course, is to get a GOP who is not afraid of the New York Times and CNN..

Amen, and well spoken!! Seems our country and the White House is a joke. Obama and Michele are too busy being stars. She was on the cooking network. Come on now, that is just crazy!!

The North Star National Dan Sherrier on the AP's skill for reporting 'news'.

That’s the basic gist of a recent AP article, (which was pointed out on Michelle Malkin’s Web site.) If you thought that the honeymoon might be nearing its conclusion, think again:

I know, I know. If the attack on Northwest Flight 253 had been successful, none of us would be chuckling about any of the inanities involved on both sides. It’s all pretty much gallows humor at this point.
