The Penobscot Narrows Observatory & Fort Knox State Historic Site Report from Park Manager Mike Wilusz at Fort Knox • Three, newly constructed wind turbines on Vinalhaven will be added-viewing attractions for those visiting the Penobscot Narrows Observatory next season. Clear skies during the month of October allowed viewers to see these towering structures this fall; however, it wa...s just this week that the turbines were put into service.

The Penobscot Narrows Observatory & Fort Knox State Historic Site Report from Park Manager Scott Thompson at Aroostook: I was able to get to Fort Knox on 10/31, with my family, to take part in the Fright Night activities. We were close to being the last bunch of visitors up the tower for the season. The views from the top are spectacular. I highly recommend taking the ride up when fo...lks get a chance. The Fright Night hauntings were very spooky!
