Candles, well-worn journals, favorite pens, trusty colored pencils, precious rocks & stones, goddess & angel cards, music, camera, pink roses, and an open heart. The Pinwheel Girls A new year starts this week. Are you ready? Are you feeling a shift? Why not make New Year's Eve a truly spiritual event this year? An evening of reflection, saying good-bye to one year & welcoming a new one, setting intentions, listing goals, and allowing gratitude to prevail for all of the learning, growing, and transitioning you have done this year?

The Pinwheel Girls Merry Christmas to you if you celebrate this wondrous Holiday! Enjoy these special times! Make wonderful memories! If you feel heartache over the Holidays, I know it's hard to feel "merry & bright." I hope you'll find solace in the beauty of this Holiday: the whiteness of snow, flickering candles, children's glee & the... idea of unconditional love & peace on earth. I wish you all Light. xo

The Pinwheel Girls Have you noticed how sometimes people cower when you arrive? You get the feeling it is not because of the dazzling light you are shining. Keep being yourself anyway. Keep being you.

The Pinwheel Girls Holidays can bring out a lot of tension, stress, disappointment & strife. Breathe in and breathe out. Practice the art of "silent patience."

The Pinwheel Girls

The Pinwheel Girls December 21st is the shortest day of the year ~ a day filled with hours and hours of darkness when the sun sets around 4:0 p.m. It's also the turning point for when the days begin to get longer. It commemorates the return of the Light. I've always dreaded the long, dark Chicago winters. They make me sad and depressed a...nd isolated. This year I wanted to do something highly empowering to remind me of the Light that is available to me everyday...so I made an altar to Solstice and the coming of the Light. I've enjoyed watching the candles flicker all evening. It is indeed empowering to know "...you CAN see in the dark..."

The Pinwheel Girls Today is Solstice ~ the shortest day of the year and therefore the day with the least amount of Light. Today marks the time when the days begin to lengthen & the Light begins to return. Today I made, for the 1st time, a small Solstice altar to empower me to "see in the Dark" & celebrate the coming Light. I chose candle...s the color of the sun: orange, yellow, red ~ and added pinecones & winter greenery to symbolize that even in "the dead of winter" there is still so much life to be lived. The Light is coming! Until then, know that "...you CAN see in the dark..."
