Synopsis:
Set in Cambodia and Australia. Three decades ago, nearly two million innocent lives were massacred. Among them,a good man was taken away from a beautiful woman, Melea. Drifted to a modern world, she has found herself a happy and comforting life. One day her loved one's spirit calls for the truth to unjustified cause. Her life will never be the same when she uncovers the identity of the ruthless killer behind her father's gruesome murder. Now face to face with the man who tries to redeem his evil past, she vows to find the truth, bring him to justice and her father's spirit to rest.
The Red Sense is a coming of age film for the masses. It is the Khmer equivalent to many documented genocidal events. It possesses the right universal themes to touch anyone. Every race of people in the world can relate, young and old through the generations.
Tim Pek brings this unique story to the screen straight from his heart where he experienced the Khmer Rouge himself. This film is based on real stories which has been seen as a taboo subject until now.
