The Right Perspective

The Right Perspective is a semi professional live band comprising six very talented musicians. The roots of the band go back to 1999 and they have been in their present line up since 2004.

Fronting the band is Bridget. Bridget has experienced life in a variety of bands since the 1990s including lead and backing vocals in a pro 12 piece Commitments type group and fronting a 5 piece rock band. Her unmistakably clear voice soothes the ears in soft melodic ballads and raises the roof in more powerful songs. Her range and control is perfectly suited to the wide choice of songs performed and she always provides a memorable vocal performance for all the right reasons.

Carol is our saxophonist and has a musical career spanning over 30 years. She has toured all over the UK with her alto sax in a wide variety of pro bands from jazz and blues to soul and funk. As well as keeping to many of the signature brass melodies in many of our songs, her improvisational talent adds new dimensions and brings new life to songs you've heard so many times before.

Steve on lead guitar is regarded as one of the best guitarists playing on the function circuit today. Although he prefers to keep to the well known solos in many songs he can always be relied on to produce some very fine improvised playing.

Ali plays rhythm guitar and is one of those guitarists who keeps the sound together with a solid performance based on perfect rhythm and melody and as well as being a real talent on the guitar, she adds the harmonies behind Bridget's vocals to make our vocal sound very rich. Before Ali settled in the UK, she fronted a metal band back in her native home in Spain. Just adding to the versatility of this brilliant musician.

Nigel on bass comes from a blues background having played with some fully professional outfits and has a wealth of riffs and licks to keep the bass line alive and kicking. Nigel also produces our scores and makes sure we’re all playing in the same key simultaneously.

Last but not least is Martin on drums. Martin has been playing for slightly over 30 years on and off, during which time he has played most styles with bands ranging from punk to prog rock and soul, blues and RnB. Beside his extensive live gig experience, he has worked with some original artists and songwriters in the studio helping to produce their albums. (read less)
