The SMILE Program
Wow! Welcome to the SMILE FB page and thanks for being a fan.
I've got lots of important information for HIGH SCHOOL students. Here's one site that is very helpful.
Click on "Take a Tour" on the right-hand column to watch the VIDEO. It's truly never too early to start planning, and it's especially important to BE Y...OUR OWN ADVOCATE and gather as much knowledge and information about classes and courses you should take to get into the career that you want, financial aid, loans, scholarships, career choices, etc, etc.
If you're not a high school student, please feel free to offer any useful information or resources to students that you think will be helpful.
Thanks again for being a fan...invite more if you can!

The SMILE Program The SMILE Program...Science and Math Investigative Learning Experiences...what would you change the name to or would you keep it the same? Let's hear some suggestions!

The SMILE Program Ok...so now we really want to know what you're up to these days! Where do you go to school, where do you work, what are your future plans, etc.? What inspired you to follow the path you're on? Also, as a side note, please invite anyone you know who is/was affiliated with SMILE to join our FB page. Let's get a good ...network going here...goal is at least 50!

Laura Merino as a student going out to explore with the mushroom lady!

Jessica I have never been so inspired in my life than when I met the students in the SMILE program. Their enthusiasm, intelligence, and creativity gave me such hope for the future. I can't wait until they're running the show! Keep up the good work.

The SMILE Program Share a SMILE memory...funny, moving, exciting, etc...as a SMILE student, mentor, teacher, however you're involved. One of my favorite SMILE memories was as a mentor at the Elementary Outdoor Science Adventure. I loved seeing the positive impact that the college student speeches had on the elementary students...so cool to help broaden horizons!
