The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Aaron Wolff, son of Hugh (former SPCO Music Director), is funny and "unflappable" in the Coen brothers' "A Serious Man."

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Hailed by the New York Times as an artist of "infectious charisma", the SPCO is proud to welcome our new Principal Timpanist, Michael Israelievitch. Click below to read MPR's interview with this New World Symphony alum.

Twenty-something Michael Israelievitch has just been named Principal Timpani of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. It was a grueling (but thorough!) audition and he feels ready to take on his new role.

The Dakota is always looking for ways to support new music, and is happy to partner with us on this unique opportunity. They would like to offer 2 for 1 tickets to SPCO patrons to see solo cello virtuoso Matt Haimovitz this Wednesday, October 28, followed by the Grivna/Karr Quintet...

I was wondering about the cover as well...Found this info on the Dakota's website:
Tickets for Matt’s show are $20. There’s no additional charge if you want to stay for the Brian Grivna & Dave Karr Quintet.

The whole concert was wonderful. Both of the Vivaldi pieces were great, I liked the slow middle movement of the Violin Concerto in A for Violin with Three Violins in Echo. It was the movement were the echo effect really felt like an echo, especially at the end of the movement.
