Help us name a new study! Next month we will be starting a longitudinal study of 450 young gay and bisexual men and we need a project name. The study focuses on a cluster of health issues (HIV, depression, substance use). We need a cool name for the project that would make young guys want to join. So far two names ...came forward: "Swagger" and "450 Crew" (meaning the number of guys in the study). Any other ideas?Read More

I was recently at the Siskel theater for a discussion prior to viewing Eisenstein's Ivan the Terrible Part 2, and the leader of the discussion "defended" Eisenstein against the notion that he "was gay," by stating that there is evidence of his having hetero relationships as well as "homosexual experiences." TOTAL MICROINVALIDATION, am I right? I ... Read Morewas livid but in a hurry so I didn't manage to discuss the toxicity with the speaker, who seemed to be affiliated with SAIC film program or something - there were LOADS of art students in the theater. Wish I'd heard of this prior to the incident, I would've had clearer language with which to address this guy's transgression. Thank you.
