We are at that half way mark! We are half way through the year, heading towards the transition stage of festival planning, that is, when your festival is in late December and early January. The Taste team is beginning to make the transition from the dreaming, planning, and shuffling ideas and concepts to the hard end side of things. We are starting to lock down decisions, confirm the site plan, finalise event concepts, secure partnerships, and starting to weave together the threads of the event plans.
The 2008/2009 Festival promises to bring many new concepts and ideas. The Hobart Summer Festival will be merged with The Taste to become The Taste Festival – Hobart’s Waterfront Celebration. Event programming will be condensed into a shorter period and be consolidated in, and around, The Taste site in Sullivans Cove, thereby creating a more intensive event
