I hate this show, yet am obsessed with it at the same time. I can't pull myself away. I despise Henry VIII, his promiscuous ways and his volatile spirit. In the beginning, I hated Anne Boelyn, and even though I still don't prefer her. . . I have pity. I never want to see this show leave and will be devistated if it happens. In response to "Watchable", I do not think this is Helena Bonham Carter's acting-type.

And I'm almost positive Anne's head will not be attached to her body when this season ends. Any one else for ShowTime OnDemand? It has the next episode, which isn't supposed to be out yet. . .

Peter O'Toole is awesome. Im so glad they cast him as the Pope.

I love the show watch it all the time. I was having withdrawls until this new season started I actually did a marathon watching last seasons shows just before this season started... What a great show....

...I have to admit, the Tudors does make for compulsive viewing. Yet I find Jonathan Rhyes Meyers and Natalie Dormer's castings made for the benefit of eye-candy, rather than being based on any genuine comparism with the characters themselves. Factually, also it is misleading, and the costumes rather far-fetched. Yes, I sound like an old fuddy-duddy, and I realise that much genuine authenticity has been sacrificed to make something watchable. IMO....Ray Winston and Helena Bonham Carter made far more plausible castings as Henry and Anne. But there you go.....some history on the telly is better than no history.

I have always been interested in Tudor history, so this show was perfect for me. But I never thought it would be as GREAT as it has turned out to be. Between the costumes, the scenery and the FABULOUS acting, I just can't get enough of it!!! I am only sorry that the seasons are so short - 10 episodes is NOT ENOUGH of this show!!!!!!! The chemistry between Natalie Dormer and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is nothing short of INTENSE - they should both win emmies for their performances, especially here in season 2. I hope this show continues to REIGN well into the court of Elizabeth I!!

It's so addictive! I have been obsessed with Tudor history for at least 6 years now. This show is absolutely amazing. I love very episode and can't wait for the next one. The casting is perfecr. Jonathan Rhyes Meyers and Natalie Dormer are hot and there's definate chemistry there.

"The Tudors" not only struck me in terms of its near-flawless production quality, pace and above all, a near-perfect "time travel" to one of the most tumultuous (and personally, meaningful) times in history, that of the schisms and religious maelstroms triggered by Martin Luther.

Seeing the immediacy of his thought affect the lives of so many people, against a backdrop so lush, sensual and therefore, so realistic, is a cause for joy, as after the recent WGA (Writer's Guild of America) Strike, some of us were wondering about where TV was heading.

Well, seems like Showtime found a very simple, yet inexhaustible solution, by picking a personality as strong and as historically controversial as Henry VIII... and with only the first two of his eigth wives, having been able to weave such an enthralling piece of artwork (yes, this is NOT television, but art in motion), where the lust, the power, the beliefs, and above all, the relentless pace of history being made by those willing to stick their necks for it (in more ways than one!), well, makes one fervently hope for the profitability of this franchise to grow, and for the genre to find other "historical" figures to not only reveal, but to help repeal the static, dull and somewhat lifeless cast of their previous incarnations...
