The Upland Garden Railway Society

Organization Purpose

The purpose of this UGRS is to increase the popularity of the garden railroading hobby. We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will keep the hobby going for generations to come.

The Train Crew
(Elected Officers)

Engineer - Casey Jones
The engineer keeps the train on the track. He keeps his face in the wind and his hand on the throttle. He also chairs the “once-a-year” business meeting, oversees special projects, and generally is a nice person.

Conductor - Randy Uecker
Assumes the duties of the Engineer should the Engineer derail the train, jump from the train, or is not available. He also maintains the events calendar.

Station Master- Paul Hopping
Cleans the office, kills any rats found in the station and makes sure all passengers are drug free. He is also theofficial UGRS photographer.

Pay Master- John Poole
Keeps all the UGRS dues under his mattress and questions every expense. Keeps our monthly bank account balances and writes all the UGRS checks.

Dispatcher- Ed Saalig
Publishes the 450 page monthly newsletter (more like 12 pages per month). Uses what ever information and photos he can bower, beg or steal. He is the reporter, editor, printer, and historian for the monthly Upland Flyer. (read less)
