The Vermont Arts Council is proud to announce that we already have 29 Vermont high schools signed up for our Poetry Out Loud program, a national poetry recitation competition presented in partnership with the Poetry Foundation and the National Endowments for the Arts. October 30th is our final day for school registration, in case you know of any schools that should be involved. It's going to be an exciting year!

Titled "Navigating the Art of Change, it was an inspirational gathering of about 300 public and private grantmaking organizations from across the country. One of the highlights came at today's closing event when National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Rocco Landesman delivered the keynote address. Check it out...

wants to remind you: If you're out and about this weekend, take in one (or both) of the Art of Action exhibitions touring the state. Over 100 pieces of groundbreaking art were created for this project and most are touring in two separate exhibits: The Artists Choice Tour is at Two Main Street in Randolph thru Oct 31.... They are hosting an open house all day Sunday. The Curators Choice Tour is at the Chaffee Arts Center in Rutland until Nov 30. Both exhibitions include work by all ten artists.Read More
