i really hope it comes to the US because I'm so bored with all the movies out right now.
the only movie i LOVED this year has been getting similar attacks.
Where The Wild Things Are. Totally misunderstood.
I LIVED those feelings of anger and disappointment towards the people who I wanted so dearly to love me and the conf...usion of being in trouble.
So when people say the film was boring, I say NO you just didn't get the point. Sad. Subtly is much needed in art today.

Rie Katagiri Being a HUGE fan of the writer Joan Scheckel's work as well as Niki Caro's, I'm really excited to see this film in the US. The trailer left me wanting more! How stunning!!

Kathryn Young There has been alot of controversy here in NZ with Elizabeth Knox being extremely critical of the film - I think Niki did a beautiful job of taking a slice of Elizabeth Knox's incredibly complex novel and choosing to make it her own with her own interpretation. I am personally upset at Elizabeth Knox's public critic...ism of Niki's work - the way I see it Niki purchased the film rights, thus giving her artistic licenseto make the film as she saw fit. It seems to me that there is room for both the film and the book among readers/viewers and we are all richer for both
