WOULD WE THAT SAT IN COMFORT EVER EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT SORT OF SACRIFICE?

This is making a sacrifice for God and for His people.

My heart is gladdened and saddened by testimonies....how long Jesus will it be????

Yes Chris Etter gave a special message on VOM,gave an informative message on how to better pray for persecuted christians around the world even in our own country.

Sunday morning my husband showed the Shafia video during our service at Christ Family Church in Arlington TX. A small group of 13 individuals later that day met together in our house to pray for those in prison. Amen & Amen! My heart is with all those abroad in the name of our lord may they keep strong for Him and know we are praying and will never forget them!

We met in a small, unlit room, with limited chairs. A "government" official confiscated all of our Christian materials at the door. We closed the blinds and spoke quietly so no one passing by would hear or see us and report us to the "authorities" We sang hymns from memory with no music, and shared memorized verses. Our Pastor gave his message ... Read Moreon the persecuted church. We then gathered in small groups to pray for fellow Christians who are currently jailed for their faith. It was a very humbling and moving experience. I will now thank God every day for the freedom to worship openly that we enjoy in the United States.

Wonderful sermon by our pastor and our bulletin included links to several sites including the main VOM website. He challenged each of us to devote at least one hour a week to praying for the persecuted church based on specific prayer requests that we could get through places like this one. there was a special prayer time this evening, too.

We had special prayer for the persecuted church, showed the video clip, and passed out the 14-day prayer requests.GOD is faithful!

Bless your servants in prison, Lord, and those who suffer because they are yours. Give them comfort and encouragement, and peace.

Dianne, thanks for reminding us for the call to suffer as Christ did. Unfortunately too much suffering in America isn't because we are followers of Christ or practitioners of righteousness, but because we don't do what God wants us to do, no matter whose fault it is. I do find my suffering though in connecting with Christians who do not believe as ... Read MoreI do but mostly because some Christians do not know how to treat other Christians Christianly. Some Christians have been overly influenced or secularized to the point that they think it is okay to vent their anger on people. No, we are a family and unity and showing our love for each is very important to God and it is our witness of what God has done in our lives, whether God has changed us or not is shown by how merciful we are to each other and how much we apply a Biblical worldview to motivate how we react to different situations and different things our people say and do. Our obedience shows people we are different and that God loves them very, very much.
