Steven V. Roberts is the author of My Fathers' Houses and coauthor of the New York Times bestseller From This Day Forward. He has worked as a journalist for more than forty years, including in positions at U.S. News & World Report and at the New York Times, where he was a bureau chief in Los Angeles and Athens, and as a correspondent to Congress and the White House. Since 1997 he has been the Shapiro Professor of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University.
Roberts is a frequent speaker for The Washington Campus who discusses the important role that the media plays in U.S. policy-making, and the ways in which the changing format of the media - including the 24 hour news cycle, the fall of high quality newspapers, and the rise of blogs and Internet news - are influencing the way in which policy-makers and constituents retrieve information and make decisions.
