What is the point of donating money to the WT if Councils can just cut down trees as they wish? Wouldn't it be easier to burn a tenner in protest and post the ashes to the Minister of the Environment
Oak

Hi Roy - the point of donating money to the Woodland Trust is that they put time into fighting these cases - 80% of the cases they take part in they win so although they can't win them all they'll give it a go. This case is at public inquiry stage so there's not a lot for people to do but the Woodland Trust will be fighting it at the Public Inquiry... Read More. WoodWatch the campaign to save ancient woods and trees is a way you can get involved without burning your money and sending it to the Minister of the Environment (not that I'm saying that's a bad idea!
