The Year of Fog

The Year of Fog The new British cover for The Year of Fog features the tagline "International Bestseller" above the title. That kind of gave me chills...in a good way! Meanwhile, The Daily Mail selected No One You Know as one of its "ultimate holiday summer reads," & the book critic for Elle France went on French television program Te...lematin and named L'annee brouillard, Sophie Alanides's transl. of Fog, "the book of the summer."

The Year of Fog I happen to live within driving distance of more than a dozen amazing independent bookstores. But I realize that I'm extremely lucky, and there are many cities where independents are a thing of the past. Which is why I'm happy that Borders has put the rec

The Year of Fog

The Year of Fog Here’s the cover of the French translation of The Year of Fog. The book was translated by the wonderful Sophie Aslanides. I think the cover goes perfectly with the story and also with the epigram, which is from Eugene Ionesco’s beautiful memoir, Present Past/Past Present:The light of memory, or rather the light that memory lends to things, is the palest light of all.

Chellis--I love this story! I tell it to people at reading sometimes. Fascinating, the way a book travels. I received an email from a Marine who found The Year of Fog in the tiny ship library while he was stationed off the coast of Burma. He was stuck on the ship for two months, and while he was there, he was reading T...he Year of Fog. I thought that was amazing.

Wade--Aren't you curious who you're going to be in the next book?
