Jennifer

Jennifer my only experience at TOTL was back in 1985 doing ANNIE. I thought I was doing professional theater! the talent was amazing and I loved doing a show at 10 years old downtown....I was SO cool. Any other '85 Annie Players out there? Orphans?

Jan

Jan Theatre on the Lake had a long history of doing community theatre productions that were produced from the theatre programs in the local Chicago Park District Recreation Centers, when most of those centers had staff know as "Drama Instructors". It was a great place for local non-equity actors to hone their craft. I myse...lf directed and acted in shows there. I am glad to see that it still provides the people of Chicago and visitors a place to enjoy theatre. You can't beat the views, either.

Joe Giovannetti

Joe Giovannetti Huh. I heard there was a 2-for-1 deal at TOTL this week to see BARREL OF MONKEYS, 7:30 PM on Saturday and 6:30 PM on Sunday. I also heard that there was no code word or anything and all I had to do was call and ask for them.

2-for-1?

Of course, after years of thinking about it I finally completed the album in time to coincide with your luminous production fo "These Shining Lives." Thank you to the wonderful cast who made the transition from the intimate Raven theater to the Theater on the Lake with such aplomb.

Theater On The Lake You probably scraped your knee playing this classic game of playground domination, but you've never played it like this before...by which we mean you've probably never played it in the Theater on the Lake building.

So strap on your gym shoes, stretch out those quads, and get ready to dig for it, because summer means Fou...r Square at Theater on the Lake.

Contact Yasmin for info about getting on the 4-square phone tree.

Theater On The Lake Opening to critical success at The Artistic Home, this rich and moving story centers on the lives of the Boyle family, eeking out a living in the tenements of 1920's Dublin. Juno supports her family, while roustabout husband Captain Boyle searches for ways to avoid work. Sometimes hilarious, and at other times tragic..., playwright Sean O'Casey masterfully weaves a tale of war, hard times and family; a story that still speaks to us today.

Theater On The Lake

Theater On The Lake "Radiant." "Shining." "Heartbreaking." So say the critics about the fierce real life story of the women who worked for the Radium Dial Company in Depression-era Illinois. THESE SHINING LIVES follows the ten-year span between one woman's first days as a watch painter to her final days as she fought fiercely as part ...of a class action law suit to hod the Radium Dial Company accountable for its negligence. It is a poignant and theatrical tale of the pioneering female spirit, its demand for independence, and its refusal to surrender despite daunting odds.
